  • Obtaining a sample of the document standard
  • Precise analysis of ink, paper, etc.
  • Identity and Date of Creation Estimation Analysis Data Statistical Analysis
Research 02 Micro/Fingerprint Trace Pattern Research Team
Research Need
  • 01

Due to the intelligence and sophistication of crime, securing personal identification evidence is becoming increasingly difficult : Research on new personal identification evidence securing techniques

  • 02

Lack of research on the development of techniques for simultaneous detection and collection of trace evidence and DNA evidence : Need to secure own simultaneous detection techniques

  • 03

Import dependence on fingerprinting reagents and DNA detection reagents : Ensuring cost reduction and increased detection efficiency through domestic production research

Field of study
  • Development of fingerprint-emerging fluorescent powder
  • Development of a technique for simultaneous detection of trace evidence and DNA evidence
Research 03 Forensic Bio-Evidence Research Team
Research Need
  • 01

As crimes become more sophisticated, attempts to conceal biological evidence at crime scenes increase, increasing the difficulty of obtaining biological samples.

  • 02

Visualization and collection of biological samples are essential for securing DNA evidence, but we rely on foreign products.

  • 03

Increasing the usability of bio-evidence through research and development of visualization of biological samples and DNA collection/analysis techniques

Field of study
  • Study on novel techniques for visualizing biological samples using forensic light sources and reagents
  • Validation of DNA collection techniques and optimization of analysis processes
Research 04 Drug/Regulation/Toxic Substance Precision Analysis Research Team
Research Need
  • 01

As the distribution of domestic drugs becomes more organized, intelligent, and younger, drug offenders and related crimes increase every year.

  • 02

Due to limitations of existing drug detection techniques, there is a need to develop new drug detection techniques to respond in the security/customs field.

Field of study
  • Study of Microneedle Patch Sensors as a Biological Evidence Collection Technology
  • A study of portable Raman spectroscopy as a technique for analyzing on-scene evidence of drug seizures
Research 05 Terror GSR/Fire Explosion Research Team
Research Need
  • 01

Despite the increase in domestic gun murders and early crimes committed by priests, there is a lack of research on domestic gun-related investigative techniques or analysis techniques.

  • 02

The need for new GSR analysis techniques due to the recent expansion of the use of smokeless, non-toxic detonator powders with reduced heavy metal content

  • 03

Research on forensic analysis techniques is needed to analyze the cause of fire, such as detecting flammable substances at fire scenes and detecting flame-retardant paint components.
